Not all cats start in a home

Schkelda becomes part of their journey. Supporting the spaces that care for them, and staying with them as they find a home. A familiar place to return to, right at the beginning of their new life.

Missy & Lilly

Colony Cats | Dublin, Ohio, USA

Brian:
After a few catless months I decided to begin the hunt for a cat to adopt and welcome home.

I have always appreciated the calmness and sophistication of senior female cats so that drove my search.  Once I was on the Colony Cats page and saw Missy's profile I knew she was the one!  You could tell just by looking at her that she was a loyal and devoted cat who wanted a home to call her own again.

I wanted her to have a fabulous last few chapters in life.   She was a bit sassy at first- but after a few quiet days at home she began to show her true self.  The surprise was Miss Lily!  I was not expecting to adopt two cats but the cat homing system had other plans.  Lily was on the top of a shelf and as I was walking past she made sure to do all she could to look cute and get my attention.  Stretching her legs, making biscuits with her paws...she was really staging an adoption campaign.  This middle aged girl was ready to find herself a forever home as well and was not going to take no for an answer. They were pleased when I came home with the Schkelda end table.

They mostly live separate lives- but the two levels essentially provide a "bunk bed"  where they can both nap without being TOO close to one another. This was the first picture I have ever been able to take with them both in it- thanks Colony Cats and Schkelda!

Tess & Briar

CatRescue901 | Hornsby, NSW, Australia

Laura:
The pair came to us at 5 weeks old after being handed in to a vet as stray kittens.

Their lovely family reached out to us after sadly losing their cat to a tragic dingo attack.

We believe their reaching out to us was fate - the kittens will stay in our name until they are old enough to be desexed and then they can officially be adopted!

Kelly:
We gifted the Norton furniture to one of our adopters and she absolutely loved it!

She and her family had just lost their catof 20 years. They came to thecafefor a little pick me up and ended up adopting not one, but twocats from us.

We've gotten multiple updates and everyone is doing great and they couldn't be happier.

Amaretti

Chris Cat Hornsby | Hornsby, NSW, Australia

This stunning young girl was found with a 1 week old litter on the streets of Liverpool. She was shy, but purry and affectionate. She was brought into care and placed into a family foster home to nurture her babies . Once her babies left she started enjoying her youth again but was still fairly shy and lonely . We paired her up with another cat at a different carer - and she thrived .  Having another kitty around gives her lots of confidence and has helped this adoption be possible.

Adopter Renny, was looking to give her young cat a friend as he is lonely and neededfeline companionship. She understands the nature of bonding with these cats with trauma, and waiting for that connection to grow over time and has been so patient with Amaretti. With the help of her cat, Poh, they have helped Amaretti find her feet and blossom. After 2 weeks there is already a bond felt that is growing daily .
